INDOOR/OUTDOOR

01 July 1- 30 August, 2002

When you stay at home

most of the time,

being a housewife, or

being an artist

you find

travel

a necessity.

You find

travel

a

necessary change.

In the display

I use

toilet seat covers

from

planes (Air Canada)

They symbolize

travel.

I use

Kleenex (Food Basics)

They symbolize

domestic life.

Why Kleenex?

Every evening, I put a piece of Kleenex

and a measuring cup, my drinking cup, on top.

I put them upside down. I worry about the

rodents and the bugs.

The cicada sounds

I taped in Hong Kong

in May

symbolize

outdoors.

“The sounds

tell

the

ripening

of the

Lichee fruit,”

people say.

For me

it also

means

home, my childhood home.
